• As per CBSE rules the school has 2 terms and the new academic year begins in April every year.
• Fees for the First Term need to be paid between the end of March &1 st week of April.
• Fees for the 2nd term will have to be paid inSeptemberwhen the 2 nd term begins.
• Books & Uniforms have to be bought along with the First term fees.
• A fine will be collected from the students who remit the fees after these dates.
• It is the responsibility of each parent to ensure that all dues are paid in full upon completion of the academic year.
• The regular school timings for students are 9 am to 4 pm.
• The 1st school bell will ring at 8.50 am.
• The 2ndschool bell will ring at 8.55 am following which the school gates will be locked.
• Classes/ Assembly will start at 9 am.
• Special classes:Special classes for Grades 9 to 12 are mandatory. Timings: 8am to 5 pm.
• It is mandatory for children to be on time to school. Failure to do so will result in warning, followed by a fine of Rs.100/per day.
• Any child who is late after warning will be sent back home.
• CBSE mandates a minimum of 75% attendance per academic year.
• Less than 75% attendance will lead to a serious learning gap & may result in detention of student in the same class in the next academic year.
• Parents are requested to avoid requesting leave for their wards as far as possible. In case of absence for special reasons, leave application should be sent in written prior to the date.
• In case of sickness, leave letter should be produced on the day the student attends the school.
• Producing medical certificate is essential in case of long absenceand the student must come to school with his/her parent and meet the principal.
• Incomplete work due to absenteeism must be completed by the child on time and must be followed up by the parents.
• Parents who are desirous of taking their wards home during working hours (in case of any emergency) should come in person and get the permission from principal by submitting a written request duly signed.
• Parents must not send relatives or strangers to school to pick up their wards without prior information.
• During emergency situation, the person who comes to pick the child must bring an authorization letter. The parent must inform about the same to the school office, over phone also.
• Parents must ensure that children have their books with them from the 1st day of school.
• All Text books must be neatly covered with brown paper & labelled.
• All notebooks are colour coded. Notebooks don’t need to be covered with brown paper. However, a transparent sheet can be used to cover and protect all note books. The name, class & section of the child must be written on the note books.
• Parents must ensure that children bring the books to the school according to the daily schedule.
• Students should use only ink pen [Blue] from grade V onwards & must carry their own stationary to school.

• Boys must have their hair cut as per school instructions & girls must braid their hair into two plaits.
• Neat and clean hair & properly maintained moustache and beard is a must. Smelly and dirty uniforms and socks is not allowed. Parents must make sure that their child comes neat and clean to school always.

• Children should not roam around town in their school uniform after school hours and on holidays and late evenings without the permission of the Principal.
• Both parents/ guardians have to register on the School App.
• All messages from the school including daily Homework and any other notifications, messages or reminders from teachers, Principal & the Management will only be sent through the school App.
• Parents should check the broadcast messages and school portal every day.
• Attendance during Class/ Cycle/Periodic/Term test and examinations is compulsory.
• A retest will only be given to students who have been ON DUTY for recognised competitions/events. This will be judged on a case to case manner and the Principal’s decision on the matter will be final.
• The results of the assessments and examinations are communicated to the parents by meansof a digital progress report.
• Parents are requested to check the App regularly for their students’ progress in Academics.

• Students must obey promptly all the directions of the teachers, be kind & helpful to their peers, to be clean & neat in their habits and to avoid bad language.
• Students are strictly prohibited from giving gifts to teachers.
• Bullying and forming of gangs within and outside the campus is a serious offence and will be dealt with strongly.
• Manhandling, pushing and wilfully harming any child, teacher or staff is strictly prohibited.
• We have a strict Pocso& Child protection policy. Immediate and severe action will be taken in case anyone violates these rules.
• Children are not allowed to bring Mobile phones, blue tooth devices, cameras or smart watches/ gadgets & devices to school.
• Sharing or carrying unwanted messages, information either through print media or through memory devices like pen drives, memory cards or any such devices/ material is strictly prohibited.
• Students should not bring any weapons or items that can be used as weapons including razor blade, steel scale, needles & pins or any sharp objects to school.
• Precious ornaments in gold or silver should be avoided. The school will not be accountable for any loss or theft of the same.
• Calculators are not allowed unless they have been specified to be used by the concerned subject teachers.
• Excessive money &costly items should not bebrought to school. In the event of loss of costly articles, the school will not be responsible.
• The school is a Tobacco, Alcohol & Drug free zone. All students are expected to comply with the same policy. Failure to do so, will result in strict action.
• Regular checking of school & lunch bags will be carried out in school to ensure safety and security & compliance to school rules and regulations.
• Any loss of property including books, projects, assignments and costly articles must be reported to office immediately.

• Any school property or furniture intentionally or accidentally damaged or destroyed by a pupil must be paid for by the parent/ guardian in full. In addition, disciplinary action may be taken by the school administration if needed.
• Children are encouraged to eat healthy during snack & lunch time.
• Students must carry a napkin and a spoon along with their lunch every day.
• Parents are requested to send sufficient food for their children, not less and not in excess too.
• Canteen facility is provided for the benefit of the children. Children must use this facility in moderation.
• Complaints or requests, if any, should be written and must be handed over to the Manager in the school office.
• Alternately, parents may call the office during school hours and talk to the manager/ office in charge.
• All communications except leave applications should be addressed to the principal andnot to the class teachers.

• In case you are unable to help your child yourself kindly ensure that the child has sufficient supervision by some competent person with regards to their daily home study and homework completion.

• In case a child has incomplete work & has been a regular defaulter despite several reminders, he/she must stay back after school to complete the work in school & the parent must come and pick their child up themselves. The child will not be allowed to go by school van/bus as usual after school.

• In case of a long leave due to health reasons, the parents must ensure that the notes are completed at home by the student/ parent in case the child is unable to do so to ensure he/she has all the study material.
• Gurukul Vazhthu ceremony, Yoga, Meditation, Project work, SEA activities, Residential stay at the Temple of Consciousness in Aliyarfor students of Grade 10 & 12, subject related local field trips, Sports Day, other School festival& important day celebrations including morning assemblyare an integral part of the school culture and is compulsory for all.
• Exemption from such activities will only be permitted upon the advice of a qualified medical professional.
• Excursions are not compulsory and participating in it is at the discretion of the parents and students.
• Students are expected to greet each other, all visitors and members of the staff with respect andcourtesy.
• Every student should endeavour to keep up the high tone and good name of the School byexcelling in fine manners in school and outside the school campus too.
• All are advised to converse in English in and around school at all times. It is never to make you forget the mother tongue but to help you ensure your international citizenship.
• When changing rooms for language and other subjects, or during break time, students are expected to move in anorderly manner maintaining an accepted level of noise.
• Students are required to display good manners, be polite and avoid the use of objectionable and foul language.
• Money should not be lent or borrowed & neither should text books and note books without the teacher’s permission. Pupils must look after their own possessions, including books, stationary, uniforms, and other accessories required for other school activities like yoga, chess, silambam etc.
• The Library is open from 9.00am to 3.30 pm on all working days. Strict silence must be maintained in the library.
Issue of Library Books
• Students of grade 3 onwards are allowed to borrow books.
• Books can be retained for one week & then must be returned.
• Books can again be re issued for another 5 days if the students require.
• Books should be handled carefully.
• Inspect the book carefully before borrowing.
• Any damage to be reported to the librarian immediately.
• A fine of Rs.50 per day will be collected, if the books are not returned on the due date.
• In case a child has lost or misplaced any library book, it must be compensated for by reordering the same book and publication.
• We encourage parents to donate books from the list available in the library on special days including birthdays.
